I was so excited yesterday, having finally managed to conquer my camera and be both the star and the techie of my own movie , that I HAD to post the video immediately.

But to take you back a little...

 Monday was Labor Day (public holiday); Kathia and Robert hosted the most terrific party in her back yard.

Peeps were the VTEL "Book Club" and fantastic it was to see everyone again.   The pictures tell a far better story than I could - ie we all had a great time!

Tuesday...

...saw at least one of us hard at work!  Kathia works from her SOHO (Small Office Home Office)  in which the phone never stops ringing and ditto the video.

We had great fun watching people at Tower Bridge, London - using her Lifesize videoconferencing system.






In the evening we took a stroll around the poshest new outdoor shopping mall in Austin, The Domain.  Very nicely laid out, with a European feel - small strasse with on-street parking and lots of Burberry / Louis Vuitton type shoppies.  Some interesting sculptures...

Wednesday

A hard day's pool cleaning (viz the earlier video!)  Herewith a view from my "office" (taken from the "Lilo desk"!   NB I had to include the photo of the time (AM) / temperature because I may never here see it so low again!

This garden is not without its "wildlife" to be kept at bay...(note the duck features heavily :O) 

Later I had a wonderful outing with Meli to a Mexican restaurant, Amigos (delicious individual fajitas served), and had huge furry fun getting to know her two "boys", Poncho and Lefty.
